By Brocard Brimbrook · November 2, 2026 · 6 min read

A BMW 530i weekend rental in West Palm Beach is simple. Take it Friday, bring it back Sunday, and Dud Rents counts that as two days, with 100 to 150 miles included each day. Here's how to plan it.

Want the full car specs and requirements? Those live on our BMW 530i rental page. This guide is just about the weekend.

Why is the 530i the weekend pick?

Because it's the car people actually book. Across 423 Dud Rents bookings, the BMW 530i came out on top with 54. Friday and Saturday are the busiest start days for the whole fleet, which tells you how most people use it: a weekend car.

  • Seats five, so it handles a couple's weekend or a dinner with friends.
  • Quiet and smooth on I-95 and A1A.
  • 2.0L turbo inline-4 with 248 hp. Plenty quick for a weekend.
  • Leather cabin, Live Cockpit display, lane keeping assist and keyless comfort access.

It's the car that says taste, not noise. You pull up to dinner on Clematis and nobody hears you coming.

How does a weekend rental count at Dud Rents?

Out Friday and back Sunday counts as two days. That matters for two reasons: you only pay for two days, and a two-day booking already gets the automatic multi-day discount.

  • Friday out, Sunday back: 2 days.
  • Miles: 100 to 150 a day, so 200 to 300 for the weekend. Extra miles are $1 each.
  • Discount: $25 off for 2+ days, applied automatically at checkout.
  • Full cost: shown before you confirm anything.

Which weekend plan fits you?

Most Dud Rents rentals run about a day (1.27 days on average). A weekend is longer than usual, so pick the shape that matches your plans.

The discount grows with length: $25 off at 2+ days, $75 off at 3+ days. You get the highest tier you reach, not both.

How do I plan a 530i weekend in West Palm Beach? 7 steps

1. Book early in the week

Friday and Saturday are the busiest start days at Dud Rents, and the 530i is the most booked car. If you want it for the weekend, check the calendar on Monday or Tuesday, not Friday morning. Green days are open, red days are taken.

2. Pick pickup or delivery

Pickup is the norm and it's free. Choose it when you book and Dud Rents texts you the time and place. If you're staying at a hotel or Airbnb, or flying into PBI, delivery is available across Palm Beach County, and the fee shows at checkout.

3. Get your insurance ready

You need full coverage, comprehensive and collision. It's checked before you drive. Not sure your policy covers a rental? Send a photo of it ahead of time and Dud Rents will look. Doing this on Wednesday beats doing it on Friday at 5.

4. Map the miles

A classic weekend includes 200 to 300 miles. Local plans in West Palm Beach and Palm Beach use a small share of that. A run up A1A to Jupiter or down to Delray Beach is still well inside it. If Miami is on the list, add it up first. You can buy extra miles ahead of time.

5. Friday: arrive right

Pick up after work (we're open until 7 PM on weekdays), drop the bags, and head downtown. Clematis Street and the Flagler Drive waterfront are a good fit for a quiet sedan. The cabin is quiet enough to actually talk on the way to dinner.

6. Saturday: take the coast

Cross to Palm Beach for Worth Avenue, then take A1A north toward Jupiter or south toward Delray Beach and Atlantic Avenue. That's where the smooth highway ride shows. Tolls on the turnpike are on the renter.

7. Sunday: return clean and full

Bring the car back with a full tank, same as you got it, or the refuel gets added. Take your own photos at return. Your refundable hold is released 24 hours after the car is back.

What should I check before I drive off?

Two minutes at handover saves you a headache Sunday. Run this list:

  • License in hand and insurance card or policy photo ready.
  • Walk around the car and photograph every side, wheels included.
  • Note the fuel level (it should be full) and the mileage.
  • Pair your phone and set up navigation before you leave the lot.
  • Confirm the return time and place by text.
  • Ask how tolls are handled for your rental.
  • Save the number from your confirmation text in case anything comes up.

What are the rules for a weekend rental?

Same rules as any Dud Rents booking, and they're short.

  • 18 or older, valid license, full coverage insurance.
  • You're the only driver. No other drivers, no rideshare use.
  • No racing or track use.
  • Leaving Florida needs approval first.
  • Tolls, parking tickets and fines are the renter's.
  • Changes and cancellations need 48 hours' notice. For a Friday pickup, that means by Wednesday.

What does a 530i weekend look like for different trips?

Same car, three very different weekends. Here's how we'd set each one up.

The couple's weekend

Pickup Friday, dinner downtown, a slow Saturday on Palm Beach and the coast, brunch Sunday before the return. This uses a fraction of your miles. Quiet cabin, comfortable seats, easy weekend.

Four friends in town

Five seats means everyone rides together. Book delivery to the Airbnb so nobody has to leave the group to fetch the car. One rule to remember: only the renter drives, so pick the person who's doing all the driving before you book.

Work Friday, play Saturday

Show up to a Friday meeting in an executive sedan, then keep it for the weekend. If the meeting is in Fort Lauderdale, the I-95 run is easy, and the round trip should fit inside your weekend miles.

Whichever one is yours, the move is the same: decide pickup or delivery, check your insurance midweek, and know roughly how far you're going before Friday.

Is the 530i the right weekend car, or should I go bigger?

For most weekends, yes. It's comfortable, it seats five and it never feels like too much car. If the weekend is a birthday and you want people to hear it, look at the BMW M4 Drop Top or the Corvette C8 Stingray. If the group is bigger than five, the Cadillac Escalade Luxury Platinum seats seven. Every option and its open dates are on the fleet page.

Fun fact: the 5 Series of 1972 was the first BMW to use the numbered Series names every BMW has carried since. It's still the one people pick most here.
