Communicate clearly, send your full license and insurance card without covering anything, book for yourself, book ahead and send the deposit to lock your dates. Those are the habits Dudley calls green flags. Covering parts of documents, booking "for my girl" and sending pictures of cash are the red flags that get rentals denied.
What gets a rental approved fast?
| Green flag | Why it helps |
|---|---|
| Great communication | Full answers instead of one-word texts show you are serious |
| Asking the right questions | Miles, deposit, delivery: it shows you plan to follow the rules |
| Sending a deposit | Dudley says a client happy to lock in a reservation is a green flag |
| Booking ahead | Booking weeks or months in advance is a green flag in the video |
What gets a rental denied?
- Dry texting. Dudley lists one-word messages as a red flag.
- Covering parts of your license or insurance card. He needs to see the whole document, address included.
- Booking for someone else. "It's for my girl, it's for my auntie" usually gets denied. The driver books and signs.
- Pictures of cash. Dudley calls this a horrible red flag. Paying cash is fine; sending photos of it is not.
What should I send when I book?
- A clear photo of your driver's license, nothing covered
- Your insurance card or policy showing comprehensive and collision
- Your dates, times and pick-up or delivery address
- The deposit to lock the car
Cash, Zelle, Cash App, Venmo and PayPal have no fee; cards add 7%.
Which cars book up first?
Popular cars go fast on weekends. Book early for the Urus ($1,000 a day), Maybach GLS ($750 to $850), S580 ($375) and Corvette C8 ($350).
